Fields of Gold (Sting)

For a long time I thought that Sting was singing about the fields of Bali. When I read the lyric I discovered he was singing about the fields of barley. I was a bit disappointed about that 
but it’s a beautiful song, and I like singing it.

for me all the lyrics are wrong - the song is all about the beautiful fields in Bali, nothing else

… Same here, when I heard the song, I thought it’s ‘in the field of BALI’, exactly the same as what you thought
