Home Recordings of Indonesian Songs

My artist name is nlpeter, my real name is Peter Fennema. I am from the Netherlands. In december 2006 I started recording my first covers of Indonesian songs and published them on a simple website on the internet.

Since those days a lot has happened. I have started making videos on YouTube, made a lot of new friends, and I even appeared on Indonesian radio and TV. I have no idea where this is heading, but the most important thing for me is that it is a great pleasure , and I always feel honoured by the wonderful feedback that I receive.

People often ask me why I am singing and playing Indonesian songs. Well it’s simple…….. I love Indonesia and I love to make music. I’ve been to Indonesia many times. I like to meet Indonesian people, I like to speak the language, I like the culture, and so on. I started playing piano when I was 6, and about 5 years later I started playing guitar. I don’t remember when I started singing.
